Between pages and phrases

I read books because I find them informative
On several ways in which one could live
In either an overt, obscene or a treacherous lane
Moving against the status quo, or quite amiable with mundane

Brilliant words devour the pages that I scour
Either through heaven or death, with influence or a lover
They deliver a thought that seldom give me dismay
Educating my nimble mind, teaching via different way

Tolkien told me that rule is often inherent
Dan Brown spoke in waves in which the customs are bent
Stef Meyer’s message was about love and forever
George Martin emphasized mankind’s thirst for glory and power

S. Collins stated that resources could be scarce
Grisham amplified lies while playing the mummer’s farce
Clare and Fitzpatrick are much into Heavenly
While E. L. James came in and acculturated pornography

I am no book worm, but I love to read
Till I burn off my brows, or till my eyes pop off and bleed
Only in my Right Hemisphere, Fictions turn out to be true
Their medium may not last a lifetime, but their lessons will see me through
